The term C.L.I.L. (A.I.C.L.E. in Spanish) stands for Content and Language Integrated Learning. It is an approach to language which focuses on the role of the L2 (English, in this case) as an instrument for communication in class and for the process of teaching-learning knowledge in different subjects.
- Dealing with part of those contents in L2 (the rest ofthem will be dealt with in L1)
- Interacting with other students and with the teacher in L2
- Assessing the students' progress partially in L2.
- Using a specific methodology for the C.L.I.L. class, closer to that of the language lessons.
